Episode Overview
Reverend Bob Brown runs to Dr. Elly Fielding's house for breakfast, where Elly is visibly anxious as her daughter Claire prepares for her first day of school. Meanwhile, publican Ernie Patchett opens Patchetts Pacific, gearing up for a hectic day ahead of the local table tennis tournament. His son Chris heads off to work at a construction site. At the same time, Sergeant George Sullivan and Constable Paul Berry investigate a tragic accident where local youth Craig Wilson has died after being struck by a train while graphitizing the rail wall in protest of tree conservation. Legal aid attorney Bernie Withers climbs a tree to advocate for Craig's cause, refusing to budge. Paul’s wife Rhonda arrives from Ballina, and barmaid Lisa Bennett feels anxious about representing the pub in the tournament. Jimmy asks Bob to consider taking over the church in the future, but when Bob returns to give his response, he discovers Jimmy lifeless in one of the pews.
