Future Boy Conan (1978)

Episode Overview

On the isolated Remnant Island, the last bastion of humanity on a ravaged Earth, Conan shares his life with his grandfather until a girl named Lana washes ashore. Soon after, two soldiers from Industria arrive in their hydroplane and abduct Lana. In a desperate attempt to protect her, Conan's grandfather aims a missile at the intruders, but tragedy strikes when one of the soldiers shoots at him, causing the launcher to explode and fatally wounding him.
