Plot

Karen longs for more excitement and leaves her cannery job to join the roller derby as a skater. She quickly clashes with the other skaters, particularly Mickey, the team's reigning star. Though Karen proves herself a fierce competitor, she refuses to play as part of the team. As she climbs toward roller derby fame, she draws the anger of envious teammates and the team's owner.
